Getting to Glasgow
Glasgow's international airport is a 15 minute drive from the SECC and provides direct access to and from major European and North American cities. The city sits on the nation-wide transport system with fast rail and road access to all the UK's principal cities.

By Road:
The SECC is just off Junction 19 of the M8 motorway. On-site parking is available for 3,000 vehicles at £3.50 per day.

By Air:
Glasgow's international airport is less than 15 minutes drive by direct motorway link from the city centre. See air links.

By Rail:
Glasgow's Central Station is connected with every city in the UK, while Queen Street Station serves central and northern Scotland. Call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 for timetable and price details (or call +44 (0)20 7278 5240 from outside the UK). Once you're in Glasgow, your journey right to the SECC front door can be completed by train. See rail links.

By Coach
All UK coach operators run services to Glasgow's Buchanan Bus Station from throughout the UK. See coach links.

Getting to the SECC from within Glasgow
Situated just off junction 19 of the M8 motorway, the SECC is within five minutes drive of the city centre and 15 minutes from Glasgow International Airport. The SECC has its own railway station and bus terminal linking with Glasgow's excellent public transport system.

By Road:

By Rail:
Exhibition Centre station is the SECC's own dedicated railway station allowing easy access from the city centre and the suburbs. Four trains an hour from Central Station (Platform 14) will bring you to our front door in under 10 minutes. By Taxi:
There are taxi ranks throughout the city. Main pick-up points include Buchanan Bus Station, Queen Street and Central Stations and most large hotels. An average journey from the city centre will cost around £3.50.

Delegates Travel Pass
A limited number of delegate travel passes are available for those holding tickets to the three-day teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Glasgow. These have been negotiated with Strathclyde Passenger Transport by Dharma Network 2004. SPT have stipulated that the passes can only be used by those residing outside Strathclyde and the surrounding area. The passes cost £6.50 each. This include travel to and from the airport. (The pass nearly covers the cost of this alone).
